CLINTON – Clinton defeated West Bladen 56-0 Thursday night in Four County Conference jayvee football action.
“We looked exactly like a team that hadn’t played in two weeks and only had two practices in the mean time to which we couldn’t get half our players in attendance,” said Knight Coach Kris Williams. “I don’t believe in making excuses, that’s just reality. But hats off to Clinton, they played a nearly perfect game.”
“Kerron Washington played his tail off the whole game,” continued Coach Williams. “He had an 85-yard kick-off return for a touchdown in the second half called back for a holding penalty a mile away from the play.”
The Knight jayvees, now 3-4 on the season, will host Midway Thursday.
