The East Bladen-West Bladen Powder-Puff Football game was a huge success Tuesday night. The game was sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organizations from both schools and collected 172 canned food items to deliver to Bladen Crisis and $466 that will go to two families that lost everything from Hurricane Matthew.
Reverend Corey Hester from New Light Church in Bladenboro delivered the halftime message and challenged the teams and fans. The West Bladen girls won the football game 12-0, but East Bladen had an apparent touchdown called back because the runner stepped out of bounds.
