The bridge over Brown’s Creek on US 701 has re-opened. Traffic has been shifted to the new bridge that will become part of a traffic pattern change at the US 701 and NC 87 Bypass intersection.
Traffic carefully snaked its way onto the new bridge and out to the bypass as Bladen County Sheriff’s Deputies kept a watchful eye on motorists.
The bridge had been closed since Hurricane Matthew washed out the bridge in early October.
