A fire destroyed 3,000 acres near Kelly.
The Bladen County Shrine Club donated $8,000 to the North Carolina Shriner’s Hospital. The funds came from fish fry events held in Bladen County.
Chuck Smith of Tar Heel High School was elected President of the Southeastern District Beta Clubs.
