Geomae Peterson, a 2015 graduate of East Bladen High School was one of 5 recipients of a $1,000 scholarship to area seniors by Star Communications.
Other winners included: Dylan Blackburn (Midway High School), Mathew Hollingsworth (Clinton High School), MiKayla McLamb (Hobbton High School) and Joshua Mesimer (Sampson Early School).
The winners were determined from a field of 29 high qualified applicants.
