The North Carolina Department of Transportation has issued an update on the county road openings/closings. The road openings / closings is as follows:
OPENINGS:
NC 242 North will open tomorrow (3/16/17) around noon.
CLOSINGS:
Elwell Ferry Road South
Elwell Ferry Road South is closed at a location 0.31 miles south of NC 211 in order to replace a crossline pipe. The location should re-open late tomorrow afternoon.
Lloyd Road
Lloyd Road is closed at a location 0.15 miles east of Braddy Plantation Road in order to replace a crossline pipe. The work is expected to be complete mid next week.
ELWELL FERRY:
The Elwell Ferry has ceased operations for the day due to strong winds. The ferry should re-open tomorrow morning.
