CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09), Chairman of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism, released this statement after Israel launched air strikes on Iranian and Syrian military positions:
“In its strategy to achieve a Shia crescent around Israel with control of Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, Iran has continued its provocation and challenge against Israel. Russia will continue to aid and abet Iran in the region. America should support Israel’s right to defend itself, as well as pursue additional sanctions against Iran for breach of the Iran nuclear agreement.”
